1. True Life in God Retreat in Loutraki, Greece :
Upcoming Retreat - Greece
True Life in God Retreat in Loutraki, Greece "The Mercy of God" 5th to 10th May, 2016
Vassula Ryden and True Life in God take pleasure in inviting you to join the forthcoming retreat in Loutraki, a seaside resort in the Gulf of Corinth, in Corinthia, Greece. The theme of our retreat is "The Mercy of God".
Loutraki is located 81 kilometers west of Athens and it is well known for its vast natural springs and its therapeutic spas. This retreat, just like the previous ones in Greece, will be a wonderful experience of fellowship, as well as a spiritual uplifting.
Our program involves a visit to Ancient Corinth where under the shadow of the towering Acropolis, St. Paul preached and lived for two years. The Gentile Church he founded here in 50 AD caused him much grief and prompted him to write, at least four letters to them.
We will also visit the Monastery of Saint Gerasimos (a Great Saint that is well known in Greece for helping people who suffer from demonic influences and curses). The location of the Church offers a magnificent view to its visitors. On the west side of the monastery you can see a stone cross 13m high and inside the monastery there are many beautiful pictures of saints.
Our program also involves a visit to the slopes of Mount Geraneia, where St. Patapios monastery has stood imposingly for centuries at a location with breathtaking views. The monastery is part of a building complex, which is an extension of the ancient hermitage of the 12th century. The view and its physical and religious beauty make it a wonderful visit. Its most precious treasure is the holy relic of St. Patapios the wonderworker. Filled with fragrance and miraculous grace, he adorns and protects the holy monastery and its visitors. Crowds of pious pilgrims from all over Greece come here to venerate this saint. The relic is reverently exposed in a wooden urn, located in the depth of a natural cave, and reminds the pilgrim of the true destination of his existence.
This Retreat will take place at Hotel Poseidon Resort, a four star hotel. (http://www.poseidonresort.gr/) where the blue horizon of the Corinthian Gulf meets the beauty of the landscape. Luxury and tranquility, a warm and cordial service combined with the unique surroundings will make all your stay unforgettable.

2. TLIG Radio News
Dear listeners, you are listening to TLIG Radio and here is the news Feb-March 2016:
We bring you two stories about Vassula’s best-selling book Heaven Is Real But So Is Hell .
In True Life in God, Jesus says: “Go and evangelize with love for Love.” There are many ways to evangelize and TLIG Greece has come up with an innovative approach to introduce people to and promote the TLIG messages and Heaven Is Real. By the grace of our Lord, the TLIG Messages in Greek and the English version of Heaven is Real have now a prominent place in the warm and welcoming Cafe, Bar & Restaurant Peñarrubia Lounge, 40 Poseidonos Ave., in Alimos, Athens, in Greece. Following the suggestion by TLIG friends, the lounge manager — who was overjoyed with the idea — created a lending-exchange library where patrons can enjoy their coffee, drink or meal along with a book. The day the books were stocked on February 6, 2016, the mayor visited the Lounge and congratulated the TLIG group!
Here is more exciting news, dear Listeners, about Heaven Is Real from TLIG Latvia:
Heaven Is Real, with pictures, is now published in Latvian and already available in the bookstores of Latvia. This was a work of two years — the agreement with the publisher, translation, amendments, editing, layout. The result is beautiful and glory to God for it!
Also from Latvia:
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in January was celebrated in Latvia in a special way, as this year the materials, including the selection of bible texts, reflections and others, were prepared by a group of Christians from Latvia. The group consisted of people who are not theologians but are already engaged in different ecumenical activities in Latvia. The theme chosen for the Week was: “Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord” (1 Peter 2:9), as the ecumenical situation in Latvia can be characterized by the words: “Living ecumenism.”
Croatia News
We bring you a touching story from Croatia about a project to raise money for Beth Myriam.
After hearing a recent news item on TLIG Radio of a lady in England who bottles and sells produce from her garden to raise funds for Beth Myriam, Yelena, of the Skype prayer group in Zagreb, Croatia was inspired to do the same. Yelena, who lives in a village some distance from the capital, has a garden but needed donations for the project. She phoned a glass factory in Croatia for glass jars for her products — jam, pickled vegetables, etc., and a sugar factory for sugar, explaining that all of the proceeds would go to Mary’s House to feed the poor in the world. They were open to her idea but requested a letter. On behalf of the Croatian TLIG Association the letters were written and sent out. But that is not all! Yelena’s parish priest has promised to ask a local printer to print for free labels that show Beth Myriam’s small picture of Our Lady, with the name True Life in God in Croatian, and the website address.
· The group is eagerly awaiting summer for Yelena’s hands, along with her friends, to reap a harvest for Beth Myriam! And they are praying for God’s help!
· Stay tuned for updates from TLIG Latvia as this project unfolds.
Here is news of witnessing from Canada.
· On January 9, 2016, a witnessing event was held at the home of a TLIG Toronto, Canada prayer group member.
· Michelle spoke on Unity, the Will of the Father, these End of Times, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Russia, the unceasing prayer and the Father’s love for His children.
· There were 14 people, both Catholic and Orthodox, and the talk ended with the group united in prayer.
· During a tasty pot luck luncheon, one woman who is reading Heaven Is Real But So Is Hell said that TLIG has given her great hope for our times. Another lady said that she found the TLIG messages and the talk were filled with peace and hope.
3. The Testimony of Fr Joe Ianuzzi
Recently I received emails from individuals from various countries asking me if the private revelation received on February 13, 2016 by Vassula Ryden (see below) is indeed an authentic one.
As a theologian in dogmatic and mystical theology, conversant with the criteria by which the veracity or lack thereof re. alleged seers is determined, I refrain from supporting anyone who claims to receive messages that contradict divine or church teaching. Conversely, I extend my support to those messages whose content is consistent with the divinely revealed truths contained within the Deposit of Faith.
Apropos of the published private revelations of Vassula Ryden, whose pages I have assiduously scoured for more than 25 years, I can happily affirm that they contain nothing that is contrary to the Church’s faith and morals – they do not contradict Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition or Magisterial teachings. Indeed, the Church hierarchy’s seals of approval that they bear, i.e., imprimatur and nihil obstat, ride on their own merit. Their content moreover reveals one of the most loving and urgent appeals to the Church and to mankind at this pivotal juncture in its history in which many will witness the fulfillment of biblical prophesies.
Let us recall that when our Lady of Fatima foretold that many nations of the earth would be annihilated if mankind did not convert, she did so after she made an urgent appeal to the Church and to mankind at a pivotal time in its history. I see a parallel appeal to the Church and to mankind today in the ecclesiastically approved private revelations of Vassula Ryden. More significantly, the consequences of this appeal, if unheeded, will be global.
Concerning the Church’s hierarchy, in 2005 the Vatican theologian and Bishop Joseph Grech was appointed by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger to ask Vassula, on behalf of the CDF, certain questions regarding her writings. The same Bishop J. Grech was elevated to the office of
Cardinal in 2012 and delivered the opening meditation at the 2013 conclave with elected Pope Francis. More recently, Prospero Cardinal Grech has written a timely review for Vassula’s recent book, “Heaven is Real but so is Hell,” which appeared in “Inside the Vatican” (January 2014 edition). It is noteworthy that the sales of Vassula’s writings go toward the sustenance of orphans, the poor and the hungry that she was inspired to assist in 1998 through the establishment of international Beth Myriam houses.
With respect to those who frown upon Vassula’s approved writings on account of the Vatican Notification of 20 years ago or of the 2007 letter of the Prefect of the CDF, I here recall some of the writings of Antonio Rosmini, Faustina Kowalska and Luisa Piccarreta, which were at one time placed on the Index of Prohibited Books, only to be later carefully examined by qualified theologians and rehabilitated in their entirety. Unlike the writings of A. Rosmini, F. Kowlaska and L. Piccarreta, Vassula Ryden’s writings were never condemned and, more recently, scores of Cardinals, Bishops and Priests have in writing endorsed and applauded her for them and for the establishment of said Beth Myriam houses.
“Every tree is known by its fruit” (Lk. 6:44).
In Domino,
Rev. J.L. Iannuzzi, STD
