On 19th November Vassula gave a talk in Kingston upon Thames in the UK and was introduced by Fr Gavin Ashenden. There were over 200 people present, most of whom were new to TLIG.
Vassula began by emphasising that in these end of times, not the end of the world but of an epoch, Jesus says: “Now I’m making the whole of creation new”. He comes with mercy and grace, calling us to deep repentance and an intimate relationship with Him. For this we need to get to know God and understand Him as a tender Father.
She explained: “Jesus says that the world of today refuses to give glory to God and instead, glorifies itself. Churches are being turned into casinos, and altars are desecrated by being used as a bar for drinks or game tables etc. This is the disastrous abomination of the desolation Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24. These are the signs of the end of times.”
Vassula said there is a real spiritual battle raging right now and we are all participants. Our free will is God’s biggest rival but we can choose to trust God and hand over our will to Him.
She spoke about the division in the Church and how Jesus said: “You must learn to love so that unity is accomplished.” Vassula reminded her audience: “Division is a sin and diabolical. But reconciliation and unity are the gifts of the Holy Spirit.”
Vassula went on to describe some of the prophecies in True Life in God which have already been fulfilled, and how it is also prophesied that the church of Russia will glorify God more than any other nation. She said that the world is in chaos because of the effects of so much sin in the world and our tender loving Father is calling us to be victorious warriors of faith.
