GLENDALE, California, November 24, 2013 -- The “True Life In God” messages as received by Vassula Ryden from God Himself was commemorated by a full house at the Alex Theater in Glendale, CA with music, prayer, dance and a well-rounded schedule of spiritually uplifting talks. These divinely inspired messages described as “A Love Hymn sung to us by God Himself” celebrate a 28-year anniversary on November 28, 2013.
The event opened with the lyrical instrumentation of Lebanese Maestro, Nabil Azzam and an ensemble of Middle Eastern musicians. Music continued to underscore the spiritual ambiance of this Christian Unity Festival, as the crowd was entertained by talented Greek Soloist Natalia, with an eclectic set of songs both popular and prayerful.

Sharon and Bob Jimenez of Icon Imaging PR, guided the audience throughout the afternoon in their role as Master of Ceremonies, providing background information on the impressive schedule of speakers. Initiating the speaker line-up was Paul Lauer, CEO of Motive Entertainment. Mr. Lauer appeared to completely fill the stage, all on his own, as he discussed Hollywood, the culture, an increase in Religious-based movie productions and Vassula Ryden’s biographyHeaven is real but so is Hell.

Radio and TV Host, Malcolm Out Loud, kicked off his address by inspiring audience members to step outside of their comfort zones in all facets of their lives, as they endeavor to "make things happen". Malcolm went on to remind folks of the spiritual and historical importance of the United States’ national motto “In God We Trust,” in light of the upcoming national holiday, Thanksgiving. Focusing on the theme of Christian Unity, Malcolm cited Vassula Ryden’s biography,Heaven is real but so is Hell, as a strategy to promote the timely messages of “True Life In God”.

The early afternoon schedule included a special appearance by Armenian Archbishop Mouradian from Argentina. The Archbishop delighted the audience with a commentary on Christian Unity, as well as remarks concerning his meeting with Pope Francis, when the Archbishop gave Pope Francis a copy of Extracts from The Messages of True Life in God on Unity. The Book He gave him is called "Unity Virtue of Love"

A singing group known as VOW (vision of worship) opened the second half of the Festival line-up with a beautiful rendition of ‘Emmanuel’s Song’. In fact, this performance was a surprise for Vassula planned by event host, Claire Mansour. The story behind ‘Emmanuel’s Song’ is an intriguing chapter in the history of “True Life in God”. Years before, God had asked Vassula to sing. Vassula responded by saying that she did not possess a voice to sing. God provided Vassula with the Lyrics to ‘Emmanuel’s Song’. Now, after all these years it has been to set to music and performed publicly for the very first time.

An oil painting created by Vassula in just 2 days, entitled “Tender Father” caused a stir in the theater and was a focus for photography the entire afternoon. This luminous and captivating painting was inspired by a vision Vassula had of the Father stepping out from amongst the clouds.

Not able to be physically present at the Christian Unity Festival, Fr. Petar from Medjugorje contributed a letter specifically written for the event. This theological address from the beloved Marian Priest discussed true personal conversion in the context of the Passion of Christ. Fr. Petar’s compelling words provided inspiration for all to unite their hearts and minds to Jesus Christ and truly moved the audience in the way only a true shepherd of Christ can.
Finally it was time for the Keynote address from Vassula Ryden. Dynamic as always, Vassula spoke about our Tender Father and His infinite love for us. Vassula went on to cite specific messages that dealt directly with the subject of personal conversion and Christian Unity. Vassula concluded by inducing everyone to stand up for Christ and for Christian Unity by coming together in one voice to state that we are one people, under one God. The enthusiasm exemplified by the entirety of the audience on their feet, clearly communicated the belief in the urgency of unity among all Christian denominations.

The festival concluded with a lively Celtic dance and music performance that roused everyone present. This successful Christian Unity Festival was filmed by Telelumiere NOURSAT in its entirety and will be available at a later date for everyone to enjoy the Festival from home.
