Today we bring you the first part of our annual summary of news throughout the year.
In January 2015 we wished Vassula a happy birthday in Christian unity week and reminded our listeners of Jesus’ deepest desire and urgent call for unity in the Church, in fulfilment of His prayer to the Father that we all be one. We also reported on the activities of TLIG volunteers in the Solomon Islands who not only feed the poor through the Beth Myriam but also evangelise with their love by giving clothes and basic requirements to support those in need. The fruit of their work is a new prayer group in White River Community.
In February we brought you news of Vassula’s visit to Congo in September 2014 which had been a tremendous success. It was not without its trials for Vassula but she was enthusiastically welcomed by senior members of state, senior police and hierarchy from many churches. The different places where Vassula was due to speak were advertised on TV and radio and in the media and all together, around 80,000 people turned out to see Vassula and hear God’s Message. She spoke to them in huge stadiums and Cathedrals. The jubilant crowd was filled with joy and even spiritual resurrection in Kinshasa, Kisangani and Lubumbashi. She was interviewed on TV and radio and many thousands of people were introduced to the Messages of True Life in God for the first time. We praise and thank God for the powerful fruits of this visit to Congo.
In March we reported on the exciting retreat in Mexico City, which had taken place in December, at the shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. 300 people had attended this event, representing 30 countries. The speeches were given by Vassula and priests from both the Catholic and Orthodox tradition. TLIG Radio broadcast the speeches live to 50 countries.
At the end of March and into April we continued to tell you about the excellent speeches that had been received at the Mexico retreat, given by Vassula and five priests. They had focused on Our Lady and on Unity and many other important topics from Our Lord’s Messages. They also gave exciting news of the Catholics and Orthodox sharing a church close to the Basilica.
We also reported on the Greek prayer team being live on TLIG Radio praying the rosary and the Jesus prayer. On TLIG Radio there are 16 channels broadcasting the Messages, prayers, music and talks in 16 different languages. There is a huge online library in which you can find everything that’s played on the radio for you to download. Thanks to God, we have over 100000 listeners in 168 countries.
