主內真生命 2013- 10月第三週新聞

在墨西哥蒙特雷的瑪利亞之家每週有三天供應熱食給約300位的民眾。這項工作是7年前，由志工們在一個貧困社區的街道發送食物開始的。現在的營運場所是在一個有完備設施的廚房、飯廳以及小祈禱室的地方。 

大多數來瑪利亞之家的人是附近醫院裡窮苦病患的親屬。該瑪利亞之家每天由玫瑰經祈禱開始一天的活動，接著是主內真生命訊息的分享。之後便供應包含了雞蛋，馬鈴薯， 豆類，肉類，咖啡和果汁的健康早餐給大家。 

瑪利亞之家內來自本地祈禱小組的志工，每週六接受當地大學生和高中生的捐款支持與實際的幫助，這些學生把它當作是一項社區服務工作。華蘇拉2009年拜訪蒙特雷的瑪利亞之家時，看到在這裡所發生的一切後說：「這無疑是我們的母親──聖母瑪利亞親自在動工讓此處運作。」每年聖誕節，這裡都會舉辦一場美麗的聚會；在聚會裡會供應特別的餐點並贈送禮物給大家。在墨西哥這個傳統叫「波沙達」─即待客之意。

瑪利亞之家未來將計畫增加開放的天數，好能幫助更多的人，並繼續增加餐食的供應。截至目前為止，這個瑪利亞之家的志工們已經給出了超過35萬份的餐食。感謝天主對這項工作的降福！

The Beth Myriam in MonterreyMexico, offers hot food to around 300 people on each of three days a week. It started 7 years ago when volunteers gave out food in the streets of a poor neighborhood.  Now it operates from a place with a full kitchen, dining room and also a small oratory.

Most of the people attending the Beth Myriam are the needy relatives of sick people at a nearby hospital. Every day starts with the prayer of the rosary, followed by talks on the messages of True Life in God, and after that a healthy breakfast is served with eggs, potatoes, beans, meat,coffee and juice.

Volunteers from the local prayer Groups serve in the Beth Myriam supported by donations and practical help on Saturdays from local university and high schools students, who offer this work as a social service for the community. Vassula visited the Monterrey Beth Myriam in 2009 and after seeing all that was happening there she said: "It is no doubt Our Lady, the Virgin Mary is the one running this place".  Every Christmas, there is a beautiful gathering where a special meal is served and also gifts are given to the people, in the Mexican tradition called the "Posada".

The future plans for the Beth Myriam are to increase the number of days when it is open, to be able to help more people and continue to increase the number of meals served. Up to now, volunteers have served more than 350,000 meals in this Beth Myriam. Thanks be to God and all His blessings on this work.
